A fulfilling opportunity exists for a full time Psychologist to join our Client Engagement team at Guide Dogs Queensland, based in Brisbane. You will deliver best practice psychology support services to people with a disability and their families, making positive and tangible improvement to the lives of people living with blindness and vision impairment.

About You

Our successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • The ability to work alongside a team of skilled professionals providing support to people who are blind or visually impaired in Queensland. Your professional input will complement existing services enabling and supporting clients in their adjustment to living with vision loss.
  • You will be committed to a person-centred approach to working with people with low or no vision and bring excellence and professional experience to the role.
  • Current unrestricted and unconditional registration as a Psychologist, with AHPRA.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a registered Psychologist in a community setting. Group work skills are highly desirable.
  • Sound organisational skills with demonstrated experience in managing caseload/ work priorities.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Current drivers licence is essential. This position whilst based in Brisbane, will require intrastate travel from time to time.
