The role

Join us for an exciting opportunity! Are you a passionate and aspiring graphic designer ready to kickstart your career? Look no further – Guide Dogs Queensland are looking for a talented Junior Graphic Designer to join our dynamic Community Engagement team! This is a casual position based at our stunning head office in Bald Hills.

In this role, you’ll work closely with our Senior Graphic Designer and Senior Marketing Specialist (Creative Projects) to create engaging graphic content and communication materials for our key events, campaigns, and programs. You’ll assist in producing high-quality graphics and print materials, support the design of newsletters, invitations and eDMs, and provide both administrative and creative project support to our team, as well as participate in events as directed.

About you

Reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer, our ideal Junior Graphic Designer will demonstrate the following:

  • Recently completed or currently studying Graphic Design, with a strong passion for pursuing a career in this creative field.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Eager to collaborate and contribute to project outcomes in a dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to work independently under supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in illustration, photography and/or videography a plus but not essential.
