Guide Dogs Queensland is currently seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our dedicated Commercial Operations team. This is a permanent full-time role (38 hours per week) working daytime hours from Monday to Friday.
As a Warehouse Assistant, your role will be pivotal in supporting our Warehouse Supervisor and the entire team at our Bald Hills warehouse.
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with stock take activities
- Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders
- Sorting mail and preparing promotional materials for distribution
- Coordinating the unloading/loading and storage of all goods into the warehouse
- Manual handling and lifting
- General warehouse duties
- Complying with safety requirements
About you
Our successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in warehousing
- Proficient across Microsoft Suite applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with a positive attitude
- High attention to detail when completing repetitive tasks
- Excellent computer literacy and accuracy
- Commitment to working in a safe manner
