Guide Dogs Queensland is currently seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our dedicated Commercial Operations team. This is a permanent full-time role (38 hours per week) working daytime hours from Monday to Friday.

As a Warehouse Assistant, your role will be pivotal in supporting our Warehouse Supervisor and the entire team at our Bald Hills warehouse.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with stock take activities
  • Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders
  • Sorting mail and preparing promotional materials for distribution
  • Coordinating the unloading/loading and storage of all goods into the warehouse
  • Manual handling and lifting
  • General warehouse duties
  • Complying with safety requirements

About you

Our successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in warehousing
  • Proficient across Microsoft Suite applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • High attention to detail when completing repetitive tasks
  • Excellent computer literacy and accuracy
  • Commitment to working in a safe manner
