Warehouse Assistant

Guide Dogs Queensland is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our Commercial Operations team. This is a full-time permanent role working daytime hours Monday to Friday. This position carries out general warehouse support activities at our Bald Hills campus.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this position is responsible for:

  • Assisting with stock take activities
  • Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders
  • Sorting mail and placing letters and other promotional materials in envelopes ready for posting
  • Coordinating the unloading/loading and storage of all goods into the warehouse
  • Manual handling and lifting
  • General warehouse duties
  • Complying with safety requirements.

About You

  • You will have attained work experience from a warehouse environment.
  • You will be able to demonstrate attention to detail while completing repetitive tasks and you’ll be able to show that you can work well in both a team environment and autonomously.
  • Computer literacy, problem solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities will see you succeed in this position.
  • Applicants will also be required to undertake pre-employment medical assessment.
