Senior Marketing Coordinator (Client Relations) - 12 month parental leave contract

Guide Dogs Queensland is seeking a Senior Marketing Coordinator to join our Marketing & Communications team working from our head office in Bald Hills. Our role is a part time 12-month contract covering a period of parental leave absence.

The Senior Marketing Coordinator (Client Relations) creates meaningful connections between supporters and the clients of Guide Dogs. The role is responsible for demonstrating innovation and creativity to link the work of our client facing teams to our fundraising activities through effective storytelling, brand promotion, public relations, media opportunities, and advocacy support.   

 This role is key in transforming the stories of our clients, our dogs and our organisation into warm and engaging content that speaks to the needs of our audiences across multiple communication and media platforms.

About You

Successful applicants will be tertiary qualified in communications, public relations or journalism plus have at least four years’ experience working in a similar role.

This role requires an individual who is highly motivated with a “nose for a good story”, has expert level writing and editing skills, and engages regularly and effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.  This individual also exercises an advanced knowledge of the evolving media landscape and has proven skills in preparing both effective digital and traditional media packages to meet these changing needs.

Applicants should be creative thinkers with proven experience in delivering successful public relations campaigns, who can grasp information quickly to come up with relevant and engaging content for multiple platforms.  A high level of attention to detail and organisation is a must, as is the ability to effectively time manage and deliver to deadlines under pressure.  Applicants will need to perform both individually on tasks and collaboratively on projects within the team.
